A mastery of technical terminology in the fields of forestry and the environment.Native speaker of English with excellent verbal and written skills in both Spanish and English.A minimum of three to five years’ experience working as a translator for international development organizations or similar.A minimum of Bachelor’s degree in language interpretation and translation, communications or environmental, agriculture, forestry sciences or related fields.The translator will work closely with scientists and communications staff to ensure factual and correct messaging and information in CIFOR’s products. The candidate will also be responsible for checking products in the English language for correct grammar, spelling, style and typography. Founded in 19, CIFOR and ICRAF are members of CGIAR, a global research partnership for a food secure future dedicated to reducing poverty, enhancing food and nutrition security, and improving natural resources. Our work focuses on innovative research, partnering for impact, and engaging with stakeholders on policies and practices to benefit people and the planet.
